About
The Trip
Since I went to my first rave at the end of 2008, I have been obsessed with hard dance music and everything surrounding it. When I found out about events held overseas like Defqon.1, Qlimax, and Q-BASE I wanted to go and visit them!
Not long after I got into the scene, I became an Ambassador for Q-dance in Australia and met my girlfriend Tegan, who has very similar interests to me. We started talking about The Netherlands and I showed her the scale of the events held overseas. Then after a few weeks we decided to start planning a trip abroad.
The original plan was to try and visit either Qlimax, Q-BASE or Defqon.1, and spend a few weeks travelling accross Europe as well. But once we started planning we figured we may as well do it big, really BIG! So we are now about to head off for almost half a year and visit events like Mysteryland, Decibel, Q-BASE, Qlimax and as many other events as we can fit in between.
Unfortunately, we miss out on Defqon.1 Australia, but I guess you can’t have everything.
Schedule so far 10/08/11 (with more to be added):
19.08.11 – 21.08.11: Decibel weekend arrangement (NL)
27.08.11: Mysteryland (NL)
10.09.11: Q-BASE (GER)
17.09.11: Euphoria (NL)
01.10.11: X-Qlusive Italy (NL)
29.10.11: Sensation Denmark (DEN)
05.11.11: QORE 3.0 (NL) or Masters of Hardcore (BE)
Date TBA: Qlimax (NL)
31.12.11: Qountdown
We leave Australia on the 17th of August, so keep an eye on Q-dance.com.au or my Blog partytripofalifetime.wordpress.com for regular updates and reviews of the events we visit.
I just stumbled across this blog and I have to say, hats off to you and your gf for living the life that most of us can only dream of! I’m also an Aussie who went to the Final Qountdown so who knows, we might’ve crossed paths at some stage.
Anyway, I really look forward to reading a sequel to your whirlwind tour in the near future. Keep up the awesome work, mate
Thanks alot it means alot to hear people enjoying my reviews. I hope you had the most awesome time over there. Sorry for the delay in replying since being back in Australia i have to live in the real world and haven’t gone to an event every 2 weeks so i haven’t check this.
